Carly Booth

Booth is a competitive gymnast and can perform somersaults and back flips. When she was young, Booth practiced on a course made exclusively for her and her brother, professional golfer Wallace, by her father Wally - a Commonwealth Games silver medalist in wrestling - at the family farm near Comrie. Booth enjoyed an amateur career laced with records and accolades, being described as a Scottish golf prodigy. Booth became the youngest ladies' club champion in Britain at age 11 at Dunblane New. At age 12, she played with Sandy Lyle in the British Masters pro-am, and at 14, she appeared in her first professional event, the Ladies Scottish Open, and finished 13th. She was rated the No. 1 junior in Europe after winning the European Junior Masters in 2007, the same year she won the Scottish Under-18 and Under-21 titles.
In 2008, she became the youngest player to represent Great Britain & Ireland in the 76-year history of the Curtis Cup, in the 35th staging of the Match at St. Andrews. She also played in the Junior Ryder Cup in 2006 and 2008, and won the Daily Telegraph Finals in 2007 and 2008. In 2010, she finished 14th at LET Final Stage Qualifying School for 2010. At the end of 2009, at age 17, she became the youngest-ever Scot to qualify for the Ladies European Tour.
Booth started at Glenalmond College in Scotland after returning from the United States, where a stay at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Florida was followed by a spell at a school in Arizona. \
Booth made her professional debut on the Ladies European Tour at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco. She won her first event in May 2012 in the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. She won her second event in June - the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open. She played a total of 19 events on the Ladies European Tour and finished the season ranked 5th on the ISPS Handa Order of Merit with euro164,010.
2013 Notes: Played in 18 events and had one top-10, a 4th in the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. She only made three cuts and ended the season ranked 106th on the Order of Merit with earnings of euro12,694.
2014 Notes: Played in 19 events, and made just four cuts. Best finish was T-20th in the Ladies Italian Open. Finished 100th in the Order of Merit with earnings of euros9,249.
2015 Notes: Played in 17 events with one top-10, T-10th in the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. Was 43rd in the Order of Merit with earnings of euro38,581.
2016 Notes: Played in 15 events making six cuts. Best finish T-23rd in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. Was 65th in the Order of Merit with earnings of euro25,929.
2017 Notes: 25th in the Oates Victorian Open, T-8th in the Lalla Meryem CUp and T-43rd in the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open.
