In 2000, became the first of seven Rolex First-Time Winners of the 2000 season with her win over Karrie Webb and sister Annika at the Standard Register PING, where she recorded her career-low score of 64 during the second round; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings following the Arch Wireless Championship; Charlotta and Annika Sorenstam are the only two sisters on the LPGA Tour to have both crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings.
In 1999, was the runner-up at the Philips Invitational Honoring Harvey Penick; recorded the first hole-in-one of her career during the second round of the Nabisco Dinah Shore.
In 1998, recorded 15 top-20 finishes, including a season-best tie for second at the Friendly's Classic.

Sorenstam was a member of the Swedish National Team for five years. She captured the European Team Championship in 1993 and won the 1992 Angso Ladies Open. Sorenstam competed for the University of Texas in 1993 and won the NCAA Championship title that year. In addition, she earned All-America honors in 1993.
