Cory McElyea

Started collegiate career at the University of Washington, before transferring to USF, competing in eighteen events with his best finish being a T4th at the Gifford Intercollegiate. At USF, was named first team All-West Coast Conference and posted a team-low stroke average of 72.86 across twelve events. His best finish was a T2nd at The Triumph at Pauma Valley, also finished 4th at the Williams Tucker Invitational and T9th at the U.S. Intercollegiate. Recorded a T4th in the 2013 WCC Championships.
Competed in 2008 U.S. Junior Amateur and made it to match play, losing in the first round. Won medalist honors at the 2011 U.S. Amateur Qualifier in San Mateo, CA and the 2009 U.S. Open Local Qualifier in half Moon Bay, CA.
Won The 2005 First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, competitors were a mix of junior golfers and Champions League players, winning medalist honors is the most memorable experience in his golf career. Also qualified for "The Big I Nationals" five times. When he is not golfing, enjoys playing other sports, especially body surfing, and hanging out with friends at the beach.
