David Lundstrom

Played golf as a young kid and after college and a stint in the U.S. Army, began playing in 1971 as an assistant professional at Sunkist Country Club in Biloxi, Miss.
Played in the U.S. Senior Open in 1998 (MC), 2005 (T-37) and 2006 (MC). Has also played in three U.S. Opens (1976, 1983, 1994). Has competed in two Senior PGA Championships, T-67th in 2008. Lundstrom was a second-team All-American guard at Bradley University in 1969.
Tied for fourth in the 1985 B.C. Open and then won the Players Qualifying School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in December 1997.
Played off and on the PGA Tour and was full-time in 1981, 1985 and 1986, played in 133 events, best and only top-10 finish was a T-4th in the 1985 B.C. Open.
Played full time on the Champions Tour between 1998 and 2001. Has played a total of 138 events with 16 top-10s. Best finish was 2nd in the 1998 Transamerica. Has accumulated career earnings of $1,847,644.
Since 2001, only played in a handful of tournaments over the next couple of years with his best finish being a T-37th at the 2005 U.S. Senior Open.
Finished runner-up in the 2007 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship, and had tied for 11th in 2006.
Played in the 2009 U.S. Senior Open and missed the cut after carding rounds of 72-80.
Lundstrom has not played in many competitive golf tournaments in the recent years besides local Club events. The 2014 U.S. Senior Open will be his fifth time competing in the Championship.
