David Plumb

Following graduation from Kent State University, Plumb turned professional in 1991. He played on the South African Sunshine Tour in 1992 and 1993 and the Web.Com Tour in 1993. His major golf accomplishment came in 1991 when he won the Houston Classic on the US Golf Tour, which is now known as the Hooters Tour. He won the Northern Ohio PGA Assistants Championship in 1994 and the NGA Hooters Tour Sportsman of the Year in 1997. In 1998, he was the Monday low qualifier for the FedEx St. Jude Classic, where he eventually failed to make the cut.
Away from golf, his personal life still revolved around the sport. His father was a sales representative for Spalding Golf for over 30 years. Plumb quit playing professional golf in 1999 due to back surgery and to spend more time with his family. During that time, he became a PGA Tour representative for Nike Golf. He worked other various jobs that included an assistant professional for Don Kotnik, the 1993 PGA Pro of the Year, at Toledo Country Club.
Six years ago, at the urging of his fiance, who is now his wife, he returned to golf as an instructor and clinician at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green, Ky and now is an instructor at Stockton Golf and Golfpsych in Bowling Green, Ky.
