Diksha Dagar

Diksha started to wear hearing aids at the age of six. She started playing golf at the age of seven, along with her brother Yogesh Dagar, who is also profoundly hearing-impaired. She was coached by her father, Col Narinder Dagar, a former scratch golfer who serves in the Army. She considers Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic and American golfer Tiger Woods as her inspirational role models.
She started playing golf as a left-hander in 2012. In November 2015, she was the low amateur at the Hero Women's Indian Open on the Ladies European Tour. She has won several amateur golf professional tournaments. In 2016, she became the only Indian golfer to be ranked within top 500 in the world rankings for the U18 category.
In 2017, she won her maiden professional event at the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour. In March 2018, she won the Singapore Ladies Amateur Open. Diksha Dagar also registered the best score by an Indian at Thailand's Queen Sirikit Cup when she achieved it in June 2018 with a score of three under 69 and helped the Indian team to finish sixth in the women's team event.
Diksha was one of the medal winners as a part of the Indian delegation at the 2017 Summer Deaflympics, where she clinched a silver medal in the women's individual golf event and also became the first Indian to claim a Deaflympic medal in the sport of golf.
In April 2018, she was approved to participate in the 2018 Asian Games along with six other golfers named in the Indian squad and competed in both women's individual and team events as a part of the golf competition.
2019 Notes: Dagar turned professional in early 2019. She played in 19 Ladies European Tour events, making 15 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 14th in the Race To Costa-Del-Sol and was 27th on the money list with earnings of Euro57,945. In March, she finished T-5th in the Women's NSW Open, six shots back of the winner Meghan MacLaren. The next week won Investec South African Women's Open by a shot over Lee-Anne Pace. Ended the season T-16th at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open.
2020 Notes: Played in 12 LET events making 6 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 81st on the Race to Costa-Del-Sol and 85th on the money list with earnings of euro11,949. Her best finish was T-7th at the Women's NSW Open.
2021 Notes: Played in ten LET events making eight cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 47th on the Race to Costa-Del-Sol and 72nd on the money list with earnings of euro26,184. Was T-4th at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open and Gant Ladies Open. Diksha won the Aramco Team Series London. She represented India at the Toyko Olympics, finishing T-50th. She became one of the few deaf people to have competed at the Olympics and was also the first Indian deaf sportsperson to have represented India at the Olympics.
2022 Notes: Played in 23 LET events making 14 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 54th in the Race to Costa-Del-Sol and 70th on the money list with earnings of euro60,050. She shot 64 in the final round to finish 3rd at the LaCoste Ladies Open De France, three shots back of the Ines Laklalech/Meghan MacLaren playoff.
2023 Notes: Was T-6th at the Belgian Ladies Open and T-8th a the Helsingborg Open. Shot a third-round 67 at the Amundi German Masters to trail the leaders by two shots. Shot a final round 72 to finish T-3rd, three shots back of the Kristyna Napoleaova/Cara Gainer playoff. The next week at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open shot rounds of 69, 65, and 69 for a four-shot victory over Thailandâ??s Trichat Cheenglab. It was her second title on the Ladies European Tour.
