Dimitrios Papadatos

At the start of his career, he was mentored by and coached by fellow Australian Andre Stolz who was a winner on the PGA Tour. Papadatos was encouraged to turn pro in 2012, aged 21, by Stolz and earned his card for the 2013 PGA Tour of Australasia by finishing ninth at Qualifying School.
2013 Notes: Played in 9 events on the PGA Tour of Australasia, only made the cut in three of those best finish was T-3rd at the Perth International 2 shots back of winner Jin Jeong. His earnings from the Perth International was enough to see him finish high on the Order of Merit and maintain his card.
2014 Notes: Played in 6 PGA Tour of Australasia events, won the New Zealand Open by 4 shots over Mark Brown. He finished 7th in the Order of Merit, the win earned him three starts on the Japan Tour in 2014 and he also competed on the OneAsia and Asian Tour.
2015 Notes: Played in 10 events on the PGA Tour of Australasia, his most notable finishes were a T-6th finish in the Australian PGA Championship and the Oates Victorian Championship, also a T-3rd finish in the SK Telecom Open, he was 16th in the Order of Merit.
2016 Notes: Played in Australia along with the European and Challenge Tour. In all of them, his best finish was T-20th at the Emirates Australian Open. Played in 13 events on the European Tour, and was T-6th in the Australian PGA Championship which was played in 2015 but counted on the 2016 season on the European Tour.
2017 Notes: Played in 10 PGA Tour of Australasia events and won twice, Oates Victorian Open, TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship. Finished 10th in the Order of Merit.
2018 Notes: Played in 8 events on the PGA Tour of Australasia with three top-ten finishes. Best was 2nd at the Emirates Australian Open, he finished 5th in the Order of Merit. Played in 5 European Tour events, best finish T-11th at the Handa World Super 8 Perth. He played the most on the Challenge Tour, he was in 17 events making the cut in 15 of them. He won the Open de Portugal and was T-2nd at the Bridgestone Challenge. He earned euro80,057 and was 21st in the Order of Merit.
2019 Notes: Playing exclusively on the European Tour, he made 20 starts and made 9 cuts. He would finish 168th in the Race to Dubai, his best finish T-15th at the Betfred British Masters. Ended his season playing in Australia, was T-60th at the AV Jennings NSW Open, T-16th at the Emirates Australian Open, and T-64th at the Australian PGA Championship
2020 Notes: Because of COVID playing in only five Australian Tour events, best finish was T-3rd a the Coco-Cola QLD PGA Championship.
2021 Notes: Started his season playing in seven Australian Tour events, best finish was T-4th at the Moonah Links PGA Classic. Lost his European Tour card and played in 15 European Challenge Tour events making nine cuts with three top=ten finishes. Was 51st on the Road to Mallorca, and his best finish was T-2nd at the Kaskada Golf Challenge. He shot 65-67 over the weekend to finish a shot back of winner Marcel Schneider.
2022 Notes: Started his year playing on the Australian Tour, in his 12 starts won the Vic Open again, shooting a final round 66 to win by a shot over Ben Campbell. Papadatos made a birdie on the 72nd hole to secure his first victory since 2018 when he triumphed on the Challenge Tour at the Open de Portugal. In the years since Papadatos has gone through challenges with swing adjustments, managing life on tour, and the mental impact of the game. He was T-8th at the TPS Hunter Valley. Also had a pair of T-9th at the Golf Challenge NSW Open and Nexxus Advisernet WA Open. Played on the Challenge Tour, best finish was T-41st at the Kaskada Golf Challenge.
