Donald Constable

Started playing the game of golf at a very young age, one or two years old, and credits his father for introducing him to the sport. Says his most memorable golf experience is being able to play Augusta National with his dad.
Played college golf at the University of Texas his freshman and sophomore years where he was named to the All Big-12 Second Team. Transferred back home to the University of Minnesota and finished in 16th at the 2010 Big 10 Conference Championships. Was named to the Big 10 AD's List for academics.
Once he graduated, Constable turned pro in 2012 and enjoyed success. He won the 2012 Terra Cotta Invitational, the Minnesota State Amateur/Match Play, the North/South Amateur, the Coors Light Open and most recently, the Minnesota Golf Championships where he shot 6-under par. The left-hander earned his 2013 PGA Tour Card at 2012 Q-School and played in 16 PGA Tour Events last year. Constable missed the cut by one stroke a few times, including the John Deere Classic.
So far in 2014, Donald's been playing in various Monday qualifying events and won the Minnesota Golf Champions, a part of the PGA of America Minnesota Section, at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club in May. He finished the tournament at 6-under par which was in large part due to his final round, 5-under par 68.
When he's not golfing, Donald likes to spend time on the lake and go hunting. He graduated with a degree in Sociology from Minnesota. Was a hockey player growing up but stopped because his mom didn't like seeing him get hurt. Says his biggest thrill outside the game of golf was being able to ride along with the St. Paul, Minnesota SWAT Team. If he wasn't a professional golfer, would like to be a member of the Drug Enforcement Agency or a Navy Seal. Is one of four kids and has three sisters.
