Erica Popson

Started playing golf at age 7 and credits her father and her swing coach, Ronnie McCann, for influencing her most in her career.
Had a successful junior golf career where she was a four-time letter winner at Ridge Community High School and was the Polk County Player of the Year twice. Won three consecutive Florida Junior Match Play Championships (2006-08) and won the 2008 Florida Junior Major after firing a 4-under par 212. Named the 2009 Florida Junior Tour 16-18 Girls Points Champion. Won 13 times on the Florida Junior Tour.
Committed to play her collegiate golf at Tennessee and enjoyed success there as well. Earned eight victories over her career including the 2011 SEC Championship and the 2011 NCAA West Regional Championship. Was a three-time All-SEC selection and twice earned All-American honors. Played on the 2012 USA Curtis Cup.
Turned professional in 2013 and played in two events on the Symetra Tour. Finished in a tie for ninth at 2013 LPGA Q-School to earn Priority List Category 12 for the 2014 LPGA Tour season.
In 2014, she has played in 11 events on the LGPA Tour, with her best finish being a tie for 44th at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, where she finished the tournament at 4-under par. Also had a tie for 53rd at the LPGA LOTTE Championship presented by J Golf.
When she's not playing golf, Erica likes going to theme parks and the movies with her friends. Says the best way to pass time while traveling is by playing Candy Crush. Is the daughter of Diana and Fred Popson. Graduated from Tennessee in 2013 with a degree in Sports Management.
