Harry Taylor

Shot 70 at the Nashville, Tenn., sectional and advanced through a 3-for-2 playoff to qualify for the 2011 U.S. Senior Open. The site of the sectional, Belle Meade Country Club, was also where he qualified for the 1972 U.S. Junior Amateur.
Also played in the 1994 U.S. Open, where he missed the cut. Made it into the field as an alternate in the 1987 U.S. Open but couldn't make it to the course in time to take his spot, so he didn't play in the championship. Played on the PGA Tour for nine years from 1980 to 1995 and had several top-10 finishes in more than 200 starts.
Won 2010 Tennessee Senior Open, but hasn't played much this year due to back problems. Played golf at Tennessee and was a three-time All-SEC selection. Is currently the director of golf at Gaylord Springs Golf Links in Nashville, Tenn. Has been a member of the PGA since 1991. Frank Shikle, who played in the U.S. Senior Open in 2003 at Inverness, as well as the 2004 and 2005 U.S. Senior Opens, is his caddie at the championship.
Has played in several Champions Tour events. Helped launch TaylorMade golf in 1980 and has been involved in the golf manufacturing business his entire working life. Has also worked for Mizuno.
Father was golf professional at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn., and he still belongs to the club today.
Has been married to his wife, Saundra, for 34 years and has two kids, Zach, 26, and Brooke, 23. Enjoys going on trips and relaxing when he is not golfing.
