Hee Young Park

Started playing golf at age 11 and credits her father as the individual who most influenced her career. When she's not playing golf, Hee Young likes yoga, shopping and visits to the spa. Really enjoys traveling to Thailand for its shopping, warm weather, food and Thai massages. Says her favorite club is her driver and if she could go anywhere for a day, would pick the beach and stay under an umbrella.
Was a three-year member of the South Korea National Team (2002-04) and was twice a runner-up at the South Korea Amateur Open in 2002-03.
Turned professional in November 2004 after winning the Hite Cup on the Korea LPGA Tour.
In 2005, played on the KLPGA and won three events en route to being named the 2005 KLPGA Rookie of the Year.
In 2006, competed on the KLPGA.
In 2007, competed on the KLPGA and finished third at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season.
In 2008, carded a T-4th at the Bell Micro LPGA Classic and recorded three additional top-10 finishes: a T-6th at the Evian Masters and T-9th at both the Safeway International and Stanford International Pro-Am.
In 2009, her best finish was runner-up at the Honda LPGA Thailand, where she carded a season-best and course-record 64 in the second round, and T-2nd at the Mizuno Classic, where she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings. T-5th at the LPGA Tour Championship, T-6th at the Sybase Classic, T-9th at the U.S. Women's Open and T-10th at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship. That year, Park carded a 64 in the first round of the LPGA Corning Classic, where she T-14th.
In 2010, she carded a career-low 63 in the final round of the LPGA State Farm Classic where she earned a season-best T-4th and finished T-8th at the Navistar LPGA Classic. She also T-10th at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.
In 2011, won the season-ending CME Group Titleholders, where she crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings. Other top-10s included a third place at the Safeway Classic and a seventh at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship.
2012 Notes: Played in 25 events making 21 cuts. Had a season-best fifth-place finish at the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, along with five top-10 finishes. Earned $427,717 ranking 34th on the money list.
2013 Notes: Played in 26 events and made 24 cuts, finishing 10th on the Tour money list. Recorded five top-10 finishes including her second-career victory at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic. Shot a career-low 10-under par 61 in the third-round of that event. Crossed the $3 million mark in career earnings at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer.
2014 Notes: She was 40th on the money list with $447,658 and 17th in CME points with 27 cuts made in 29 starts. She made the cut in her first nine starts of the year before missing the cut at the North Texas Shootout. She shared the first-round lead with Michelle Wie after a 65 Thursday at the Manulife Financial Classic, and had her first top-10 finish of the year T-10th. She had her best finish of the year in the season?s final event with a T-7th at the CME Group Tour Championship.
2015 Notes: Made 17 cuts in 27 starts, with three top-10s and a best of T-2nd at the Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout where she closed with a 66. Finished 52nd on the LPGA money list and 34th in CME points.
2016 Notes: Played in 26 LPGA events making the cut in 21 with 4 top-ten finishes. Best came in a major, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship where she was T-4th after a final-round 66, 4 back out of the Brooke Henderson-Lydia Ko playoff. Was 34th on the money list with $527,442 and 36th in CME points.
2017 Notes: Best finish T-37th in the Meijer LPGA Classic. Ran into a rough patch of missing 8 cuts before her Meijer finish.
