J.P. Hayes

Hayes is the youngest of five brothers and son of the late John "Jumbo" Hayes, a former Wisconsin State Amateur Champion.
Hayes has had to go through Q-school four times and spent 1991, '93, '94 & '96 on the Nike Tour. His best year on that tour was 1996 when he finished 14th on the money list with $94,087 in earnings and won the Nike Miami Valley Open.
He won the 1998 Buick Classic at Westchester CC, defeating Jim Furyk on the first hole of sudden death with an eight-foot birdie putt.
