Jack Ferenz

Earned a conditional Champions Tour exemption after finishing eighth at the 2005 Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament in California. Tied with Chris Starkjohann at 4-over-par but made par on the first playoff hole to secure the eighth spot. Nearly missed qualifying for the event after earning alternate status after the first stage, but was placed in the field following a player withdrawal. Prepared for the Champions Tour by competing on various mini-tours, including the Sunbelt Senior Tour, where he was one of the leading money winners in 2005. Played on the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour earlier in his career. Made 112 career starts on the PGA Tour and played full time on the circuit from 1979-82 as well as in 1984 and 1990. Earned $86,602, with his best season coming in 1990 when he won $39,596, which included a second-place finish at the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic. Made 53 starts on the Web.com Tour, with total earnings of $46,655. Competed in six PGA Tour National Qualifying Tournaments in his career. Last time he played on the PGA Tour Champions Tour was at Champions Q-School at the end of 2010, where he finished T-44th. Ferenz competed in the 2013 U.S. Senior Open where he shot a 148 through 36 holes and failed to make the cut. Since the 2013 Senior Open, Ferenz took a break from playing golf competitively and just recently picked the game up again. He is a teaching instructor at Meadowood Golf Club in Fort Pierce, Fla.
