Jack Maguire

Maguire started playing golf at age 7 and was introduced to the game by his dad. His parents are Julie and Mike Maguire. Jack also played soccer and baseball growing up. Maguire's hobbies include boating and fishing. His brother, MJ, is a professional golfer who played college golf at the University of North Florida. Maguire won the Florida 2A State High School Championships while at St. Petersburg High School.
Maguire finished his sophomore season at Florida State University in 2014-15. He is majoring in international affairs. Maguire is a two-time All-American and owns two collegiate victories: the 2014 USF Intercollegiate and the 2014 Mason Rudolph Championships. He finished T-4th at the ACC Championships. Maguire is a two-time Palmer Cup Team member and is ranked 37th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Named to the 2014 Palmer Cup.
In 2015, he qualified and played in the U.S. Open, making the cut and finishing T-58th. Became Florida State?s fifth first-team All-American after being selected by Golfweek as a sophomore in 2015, while adding second-team All-America honors by the Golf Coaches Athletic Association?Finished ninth nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Individual Rankings.Led the Seminoles to the top of the polls through most of the season with a 70.81 stroke average as well as a -0.38 average vs. par, landing a selection to the All-ACC Team. At the end of 2015 went to Web.Com Tour School and finished T-74th and decided to turn professional and play full time on the Web.Com Tour in 2016.
2016 Web.com Summary: Tournaments Entered - 18; In Money - 10; Top-10 Finishes - 5; Scoring Average - 70.89 (Rank 103rd); Money - $103,274 (Rank 47th); Best Finish ? T-4th WinCo Foods Portland Open. Secured a spot in the Web.com Tour Finals with his fourth top-10 of the season at the News Sentinal Open after posting a 65 in the final round for a T-8th finish. Secured a share of the 36-hole lead for the first time in his career at the WinCo Foods Portland Open with rounds of 66-65 to open. Shot an even-par 71 in the third round to enter the final round a shot back of the lead. Finished a career-best T-4th in his second consecutive top-10, and fifth of the season. Didn't get his PGA Tour card as he finished 119th in the Priority rank. Did play in 2 PGA tour events, missing cut at Waste Management Phoenix Opea and Puerto Rico Open. Had a good moment in Phoenix making a hole in one on the 12th hole in the second round.
