Jacob Bergeron

Bergeron picked up the game of golf at the age of 3 and cites his father and brother as his main influencers. He was home-schooled and emerged as one of the elite junior golfers in the country. Bergeron is currently ranked 47th in the Men's World Amateur Golf Ranking.
He competed at the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, while T-3rd at the 2015 Louisiana Golf Association Junior Amateur Championship. Bergeron is a two-time winner of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Tommy Moore Memorial Junior Golf Championship and captured the title at the 2015 New Orleans City Amateur Championship.
He earned six top-10 finishes in AJGA events during the 2016 season, while also being a Second-Team AJGA Rolex Junior All-American. He finished T-5th at the 2016 Junior PLAYERS Championship and runner-up at the 2016 AJGA David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior. Bergeron set a new scoring record to win the boys' title at the 2016 Trusted Choice Big I National Championship.
Bergeron recently finished his freshman season at Louisiana State University, where he is majoring in business. In his freshman season, he competed in all eight tournaments for the Tigers with season-best T-10th finishes coming at the Sea Island Golf Club and the Old Waverly Golf Club. Bergeron was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Bergeron and his LSU teammate, Philip Barbaree, both qualified for the 2018 U.S. Open at the Richmond, Texas qualifier.
He marks his ball with an Army Special Forces Green Beret Challenge coin, given to him by a friend, Chris, who is a Green Beret.
