Jana Melichova

Little is know of Melichova. She did go to America and went to Old Dominion. She was T-2nd a the 2021 Czech International Amateur Championship two shots back of winner Hana Ryskova.
She qualified to play in the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship, the first womenâ??s golfer in Old Dominion history to qualify for the NCAA Championships. She finished T-13th. After that she graduated from Old Dominion with a degree in International business and Economics. She returned home to Czech Republic and was looking to play in her first Ladies European Tour, the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open. Her plan on returning home was to stay an amateur for a few months, go back to school for a semester and prepare for the LET Q-School later in the year. But things changed.
But Melichova achieved her childhood dream by winning the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, while still an amateur. Melichova followed rounds of 68 and 65 with a final-round 69 at Royal Beroun Golf Club to claim a one shot win over fellow Czech Klara Spilkova and Denmarkâ??s Nicole Broch Estrup.
After the victory she thought hard about her future and decided to relinquish her amateur starus and made her professional debut missing the cut at the Amundi German Masters.
With the decision she is looking forward to the rest of the year and adjusting to her new life as a European Ladies Tour memeber.
