Jerry Slagle

Slagle grew up in Florida and started playing golf at a young age with his father. He went on to play baseball in college at Middle Georgia College and the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
He was a World Drive finalist in 1990 and a World Long Drive regional winner in 2000 and 2004.
About eight years ago, Slagle started to play competitive golf. He won the Bridgestone Pro-Scratch at Firestone Country Club in 2009 and 2010, while also being a U.S. Mid-Amateur alternate in 2011 and 2012. Slagle competed in his first USGA Championship in 2013 at the U.S. Mid-Amateur.
He captured the title at the 2014 Henry Camp Invitational in Ocala, Fla., after finishing in the top-10 each year since 2004.
In 2015, he earned second-place finishes at the Golden Ocala Invitational Four Ball and the Doug Oswald Senior. Slagle finished in the top-50 at the Texas State Mid Am and secured 18th place at the Texas State Mid Master.
Slagle currently works as a business owner.
His daughter, Taylor, player collegiate golf at Coastal Carolina University and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and is currently playing on the Cactus Tour and the Symetra Tour.
