Johannes Veerman

He was 9 years old when he began playing golf. He was very excited about playing the game and wanted since he started to become a professional.
Veerman's dad is Dutch while his mother Yanti is from Indonesia. The family has traveled a lot and he had previously lived for 14 years in the Philippines, Thailand, China, and Indonesia.
After he finished at Texas A&A in 2015 he turned professional and was off to play on the Asian Tour. He made it through the qualifying tournament in 2016 and started playing on the Asian Development Tour. He was very successful, becoming one of three Americans to win the ADT Order of Merit. Five years ago he won a playoff for the Taifong Open on the Asian Development Tour and he has since had three runner-up finishes on the main Asian circuit. In the Taifong Open, his dad was his caddie. In the four years, he played on the Asian Tour his best season was 2017 when he won $190,466 and was 25th in the order of merit. In 2018 he started to branch out to play on the European Tour. He had always dreamed on playing on that tour since watching the BMW Championship at Wentworth as a child.
2018 Notes: He weaned himself of his play in Europe and played more on the European Tour. He played in 8 events and made three cuts. Veerman got married in May of 2018 to Angela, who is a personal trainer.
2019 Notes: In his first start of the year was T-2nd at the Boonchu Ruangkit Championship, two shots back of winner Itthipat Buranatanyarat. He was T-24th at the SMBC Singapore Open and then T-4th at the Singha E-San Open. He then played in as many European Tour events as he could, he played in 12 of them making seven cuts and had one top-ten, T-7th at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. He was 152nd in the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro194,756.
2020 Notes: Played full time and in 19 European Tour starts made 15 cuts with five top-ten finishes. He was T-10th at the Australian PGA Championship and Andalucia Masters, T-8th at the Portugal Masters, T-7th at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, and T-4th at the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown. He finished 78th in the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro226,073.
2021 Notes: Started the year with a T-14th finish at the Qatar Masters. The next week was T-16th at the Magical Kenya Open. After playing in the British Masters and finishing 70th, he flew to Dallas and earned a spot in the U.S. Open. He then flew back to Europe to play in the Made in Himmerland. Because of flight delays, he didn't get his clubs and had to play the first round with borrowed clubs and very little sleep. He missed the cut in Denmark and then the next week was T-58th in the Porsche European Open in Germany. He returned to the United States and playing in his first major, the U.S. Open, he missed the cut. After that, it was back to Germany to miss the cut at the BMW International, but the next week had his career-best European Tour finish, 3rd at the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open. He was four shots back of winner Lucas Herbert and was able to claim one of the three spots for the Open Championship, Next week shot a final-round 65 at the Abrdn Scottish Open to finish T-8th three shots back of the Lee/Detry/Fitzpatrick playoff..
