Kevin Hayashi

Is the professional at Hilo Municipal Golf Course, Hilo, Hawaii. Reigning Aloha Section PGA player and senior player of the year. In the qualifier at Hoakalei, he learned a new secret that he has put in his bag. In the qualifier, he started experiencing cramps in his back and both sides of his leg. He was able to finish but had to go into a playoff for his spot. Before the playoff, he was told that if he took mustard it would help the cramps and sure enough he took two mustard packets and in 10 minutes the cramps went away and he was fine for the playoff. So don't be surprised if you see mustard packages in his bag, they aren't for lunch but to help avoid cramps.
Finished T-15 in the 2017 Senior PGA Professional Championship and missed the cut in the 2018 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Has appeared in 10 PGA Professional Championships, with best showing T-27 in 2004. Winner of more than 50 professional tournaments in Hawaii...Competed in the 2016 and '17 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Was 2011 inductee into the Aloha PGA Hall of Fame...Ten-time Aloha PGA Player of the Year. Three-time Aloha PGA Senior Player of the Year, and the 2010 Aloha PGA Teacher of the Year.
