PROFESSIONAL
2002 Highlights
Much hard work and determination went into Kirsty's first year on Tour and the work paid off when she was awarded the 2002 Rookie of the Year after a sterling performance at the Wales WPGA Championship where she finished third in the third biggest event on Tour. Also placed T18 at the La Perla Italian Open and closed her year at 24th on the Order of Merit, silencing many critics from her amateur days in the process. As one of the best ball strikers on the Tour and with her confidence growing, Kirsty is a good outside bet for her first win in 2003.
PERSONAL
168cm tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, Kirsty enjoys music, travelling, fitness and socialising. Took up golf at the age of 12 and was scratch by the time she was 16. Turned professional when she was +1 at the age of 22 and left the amateur ranks in acrimonious circumstances after a difference of opinion with the ELGA.
