Kris Tamulis

Started playing golf at age 3 and credits her parents for introducing her to the sport. When she's not playing golf, she enjoys shopping, making home improvements, watching the Golden Girls in syndication and whistling. Would like to be featured on the TV show 'Yard Crashers' and says her favorite sports team is the Detroit Lions. Graduated from Florida State with a degree in Multinational Business.
As an amateur, Tamulis advanced to the semifinals of the 2003 North & South Women's Amateur Championship. While at Florida State, where she won two tournaments, she was named a National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Academic All-American in 2001 and was a 2003 NCAA All-American Honorable Mention. Tamulis earned All-ACC honors from 2001-03 to become the first FSU golfer and only the 12th player in ACC history to be named All-ACC three or more times. Her 65 in the final round of the 2003 ACC Championship set a school record.
Turned pro in 2003. In 2004, played on the Futures Tour where she recorded five top-10 finishes, including runner-up finishes at the Laconia Savings Bank Futures Golf Classic and the York Newspaper Company Futures Classic, where she lost in a sudden-death playoff to Malinda Johnson. Tied for 32nd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 LPGA season.
In 2005, best finish was a tie for 18th at the LPGA Corning Classic. Competed in eight events on the Futures Tour, where her best finish was a tie for second at the M&T Bank Loretto Futures Golf Classic.
In 2006, played in 18 events and had a career-best T-16th at the LPGA Corning Classic, where she carded a career-low 66 during the first round.
In 2007, played in 17 events, best finish was a T-22nd at the Safeway Classic.
In 2008, played in 21 events, best finish was a T-13th at the Corona Championship.
In 2009, played in 18 events, best finish was a T-19th at Navistar LPGA Classic Presented by Monaco RV. Recorded her first LPGA career hole-in-one during the first round of the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International.
In 2010, played in 14 events, best finish was a T-6th at the Bell Micro LPGA Classic.
In 2011, played in 12 events, best finish was a T-10th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
2012 Notes: Played in 16 events, made eight cuts and earned $77,166 (86th on the money list). Had a season-best T-25th at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic.
2013 Notes: She made 10 cuts out of 16 events and her best finish on tour was a T-46th at the Kingsmill Championship where she shot 71-71-73-74 for a 5-over par 289. Placed fourth in the IOA Golf Classic, an event on the Symetra Tour.
2014 Notes: She was 72nd on the money list with 12 cuts made in 23 starts including a 4th at the Yokohama Tire Classic, her best career finish on the LPGA Tour. The Michigan native was T-9th in the Meijer Classic in Grand Rapids.
2015 Notes: Made 17 cuts in 25 starts and claimed her first LPGA victory at the Yokohama Tire Classic in August. Finished a career-best 41st on the money list. It was an emotional season, starting in April when she married Jeremy Maddox and her caddie Thomas "Motion" Frank lost his home in Houston to fire. Her victory came thanks to shooting 67-65 in the final two rounds, playing 29 holes on Sunday due to weather delays. Her 17-under 271 total was one better than Yani Tseng and Austin Ernst. It was one of two top-10s on the season.
2016 Notes: Played in 28 LPGA events making 16 cuts. Her best finish is a 9th at the Blue Bay LPGA, she finished 70th on the money list with $250,521 and 71st in CME points.
2017 Notes: Played in 19 LPGA events making 9 cuts. Her best finish of the season came at the Cambia Portland Classic where she finished T-15th. Was 118th on the money list
2018 Notes: Finished T-4th at the Kia Classic.
