Qualified at the Sanford, N.C., sectional site for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by shooting a 36-hole total of 149.
This will be her sixth USGA championship, first as a professional and her first U.S. Women's Open. Her best USGA championship finish was in the 2007 Women's Amateur when she made it to the round of 32. Best finish on the LPGA Futures Tour was 19th at the Daytona Beach Invitational. She made the cut in six out of 12 tournaments in 2011. In 2010, she made the cut in nine of 17 events. In 2009, she made the cut in four of 16 tournaments. When she turned pro, she made the cut in two of nine tournaments. Before turning professional she played four years at the University of South Florida. She was named to the 2007 and 2006 Big East Conference Academic All-Star Team. In 2005 and 2004, she was named to the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll. Her best finish was a tie for fifth at the 2005 Florida Collegiate Invitational at University of Miami.
