Kyung Kim

Kyung Kim was a hula dancer during her youth before her father began taking her to the practice range so that he would have a practice "buddy." At age eight, she began getting serious about the game. She won the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links and was a member of the victorious 2014 USA Curtis Cup Team with fellow University of Southern California teammate Annie Park. Went 3-1 in the three-day competition, which saw the USA post a 13-7 victory at St. Louis Country Club. She joined the Symetra Tour this year and has made six of eight cuts so far. Finished 4th at the Gateway Classic at Longbow Golf Club, T-20th at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, T-27th at the Four Winds Invitational, T-43rd at the Tullymore Classic and T-56th at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic. As a freshman and sophomore at USC, she was named a first team Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American; her sophomore season included two wins and seven top-10 finishes. Tallied one victory and six top-10s as a freshman. Was a second-team WGCA All-America as a junior. Finished sixth in the 2014 World University Golf Championships, while helping the USA finish second, four strokes behind Spain. Qualified for 2012 U.S. Women's Open, but missed the cut by one stroke.

Member of the 2011 USA Junior Solheim Cup Team. Was the 2010 Arizona High School Player of the Year. Qualified for three U.S. Girls' Juniors (2006, 2007 and 2009), reaching the Round of 32 in the latter. Was a four-time American Junior Golf Association Rolex All-American.

In her spare time, she likes to shop and listen to music. Annika Sorenstam is her favorite athlete because of her poise on the golf course. She was a member of the National Honors Society in high school.
