Lucy Williams

Started to play the game of golf when she was 14 years old. Her father, David, played on the PGA European Tour and is now a tournament director. Her grandfather, Freddie, was a World Speedway champion.
As an amateur golfer, won the 2008 English Mid-Amateur and the 2011 English Amateur Championships. She also helped led her university to the British Universities Title. Earned runner-up honors at the 2010 British Universities Stroke-Play Championship.
Turned professional in 2011 and competed as a rookie on the 2012 Ladies European Tour. She played in nine events that year and made three cuts with her best finish being a tie for 45th at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open.
In 2013, Lucy played in 11 tournaments on the LET Access Series and recorded two top-10 finishes. She finished eighth at the Grecotel Amirandes Ladies Open and tied for eighth at the WPGA International Challenge. Williams played in two LET events but missed both cuts. She returned to Lalla Aicha Tour School, where she finished tied for 27th, earning membership for the 2014 season in category 8A.
Thus far in 2014, Williams has played in four tournaments and has missed the cut in each one.
When she's not playing golf, she likes playing all types of sports and spending time with her family and friends. Graduated from Birmingham in 2010 with a degree in Applied Golf Management Studies.
