Luna Sobron Galmes

Sobron Galmes started playing golf at the age of 2
She lost in the final of the 2013 Ladies British Amateur Championship to Georgia Hall. She won the 2014 European Ladies Amateur, beating fellow Spaniard Noemi Jimenez on the eighth hole of a playoff. She was T-13th at the 2015 Ricoh Women's British Open to earn low amateur honors and win the Smyth Salver.
Luna placed 11th in the 2015 LET access series Order of Merit with just 7 tournaments. Luna had six top twenty finishes during the season four of which she finished in the top 3. Luna's best finish was at the Ribeira Sacra Patrimonio del la Humanidad International Ladies Open in her home country Spain where she finished in a tie for second place. Luna remained an amateur for 2015.
2016 saw Luna play in 13 LET access series tournaments. In 2016 she also turned professional and won her first event at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open. She secured her best LET performance of the season at the Lalla Meryem Cup, where she finished in T-48th position. Luna earned her card for the 2017 season after finishing T-25th at the Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying staged in Morocco.
2017 Notes: Played in 7 LET events, best finish T-11th at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open. Was 35th on the order of merit with euro32,362 in earnings. Played in 8 LET access series events and wpm the Castellum Ladies Open. Went to America and finished T-5th at the LPGA Q-Tournament getting an LPGA card for 2018.
2018 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA Tour events making 8 cuts. She was 121st on the money list with $64,325 in earnings. Finished 129th on the CME points list. Best finish T-30th ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open. Played in 7 LET events making five cuts. Best finish T-3rd at the Lacoste Ladies Open De France, three shots back of winner Caroline Hedwall. She also was T-6th at the Andalucia Open De Espana. Finished 35th on the Order of Merit.
2019 Notes: Played in 11 LPGA Tour events making three cuts. Was 142nd on the money list with $30,675 in earnings and 136th on the CME points list. Best finsih T-24th at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. With this Luna lost her LPGA Tour card. On the LET played in 8 events making 7 cuts, best finish T-3rd at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Open five shots back of winner Charley Hull. Luna finished 39th on the Order of Merit.
2020 Notes: Luna played 8 LET events and despite making a slow start to the season, came back after the COVID-19 lockdown with a point to prove, playing 5 LET events and recording no worse than a T11 finish. Was T-2nd at the Saudi Ladies Team International. Luna won her third LET Access Series event at the Santander Golf Tour Lerma beating Mireia Prat and Anaelle Carnet in a playoff that went nine holes.
2021 Notes: Luna returned to play on the LPGA Tour, best finish T-22nd at the LOTTE Championship. On the Symetra Tour best finish T-20th at the IOA Championship.
