Magnus P. Atlevi

His full name is Magnus Persson Atlevi. He competed as Magnus Persson until his marriage to Elisabeth Atlevi in 1999.
Was one of the first Swedish golfers to make a name for themselves on the European Tour and went straight to the top after turning professional at age 17, and successfully progressing through the 1982 Qualifying School Finals. Twice a runner-up on the European Tour, including a playoff loss to Seve Ballesteros in the 1990 Open Renault de Baleares. But he lost his card the following year. In 2001, however, on his 11th visit to the Qualifying School Finals, Magnus regained his European Tour card. Has started to branch out into golf course design having created two courses, one in Sweden and one in Finland, with his father who is an architect. On the European Tour, he played a total of 234 events, finishing in the money 140 times. Had 17 top-10 finishes earning 511,063 Euro. Best finish was runner-up, and he did it twice at the 1987 Scandinavian Enterprise Open and 1990 Open Renault de Baleares.
He secured a maiden European Senior Tour title at the inaugural Paris Legends Championship as he carded a 2-under 69 in the final round to win by two strokes. Just a week after withdrawing from the second round of the Travis Perkins Masters at Woburn Golf Club through injury, Atlevi teed off in the final group on Le Golf National's L'Albatros Course, starting the day one shot behind leader Mark Mouland. He took just ten tournaments to secure his first title on the Senior Tour since turning 50 in 2015. Secured the 2016 Senior Tour Rookie of the Year title by finishing second on the Senior Tour Order of Merit.
2016 Staysure Seniors Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 11; top-10 finishes - 5; Euro211,557 (ranked 2nd); Best finish, winner Paris Legends Championship. Also was T-3rd at the Senior Open Championship and WINSTONgolf Senior Open.
2017 Staysure Seniors Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 15; top-10 finishes - 7; Euro160,558 (ranked 5th); Best finish, T-3rd at the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters. Was also T-5th at the Paris Legends, Dutch Masters, and Travis Perkins Masters.
2018 Notes: Played in 18 events on the European Staysure Tour, he had earnings of euro221,619 to finish 5th on the Order of Merit. Won the European Tour Properties Senior Classic, was 2nd a the MCB Tour Championship - Mauritius and Staysure PGA Seniors Championship.
2019 Notes: Played in 17 events on the European Staysure Tour making 15 cuts to finish 20th in the order of merit. Best finish 5th in the Sinclair Invitational and T-5th in the Paris Legends Championship. Also T-9th at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship and WINSTONgolf Senior Open. Missed the cut in the Senior PGA Championship and the U.S. Senior Open. In the Senior Open was T-24th.
Branched out into golf course design having created two courses, one in Sweden and one in Finland, with his father who is an architect.
