Malcolm Gregson

Started to play the game at age 11, after finishing third in the Leicestershire Boys' Championship he was awarded a sports scholarship at Millfield school where he became captain of golf. In 1961 Gregson turned pro and joined the European Tour, were he wasn't an instant success due to putting problems. Thanks to lessons from Tomoo Ishii, Gregson won his first tournament in 1964, The Gor-Ray Cup and became a regular competitor on that tour for 20 years. In 1967 he won the Harry Vardon Trophy and has won a total of £94,652 on the European Tour. At the end of 1993 Gregson joined the European Seniors Tour and won the Tandem Open in 1994.
1994 PGA European Senior Tour Summary: tournaments entered - 12; top 10 finishes - 9; money £41,189 (ranked 2nd); winner Tandem Open.
1995 PGA European Senior Tour Summary: tournaments entered - 11; top 10 finishes - 9; money £32,589 (ranked 7th); best finish T-3rd, DeVere Hotels Seniors Classic, Senior Zurich Pro-Am & Lawrence Batley Senior.
