Turned professional at the beginning of 2003 and took the Challenge Tour Rankings by storm. His best performance came in the dual ranking BMW Russian Open where he finished second to Marcus Fraser after a sudden-death play-off. Suffered a serious dip in form for the next three seasons but, under the tutelage of former Ryder Cup player Anders Forsbrand and Fredrik Jendelid, the coaches in charge of Austria's Team Telekom which includes Markus Brier, he began rebuilding his swing and confidence before anointing his comeback with victory at the 2007 Lexus Open. Completed a fine 2007 season in style by winning The European Tour Qualifying School â?? Final Stage at San Roque Club. His manager, Ali Rosker is also his coach when he is at home in Graz and has been since the age of 16.
