Mike Nicolette

Was on the PGA Tour full time between 1980 and 1988, he played in 227 events and made the cut in 111 of them. He had 10 top-10s and won the 1983 Bay Hill Classic by beating Greg Norman in a playoff. He earned a total of $448,037 and is best year was 1983 when he finished 43rd on the money list with $127,868.Played in four U.S. Opens (1983, 1984, 1987, 1988) with his best finish coming in 1983 when he finished 13th. Held the first round lead at the 1988 U.S. Open.
Won the 1976 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship at Rollins College. Beginning in 1989, Nicolette worked as a golf club designer for Ping. He led the development of Ping's first traditional blade irons ? the S59 series. In 2013 Bob Parson, who started the company Parsons Xtreme Golf, hired Nicolette and told him that he wanted to make the best irons in golf, no matter what it cost and Nicolette has been there ever since. He will be turning 60 in December and despite being a "senior" for almost ten years has only played twice on the PGA Tour Champions, finishing T-44th at the 2008 Greater Hickory Classic and T-2rd at the 2011 U.S. Senior Open.
