Nancy Harvey

Harvey started playing golf at the age of 14 and credits Glen Harvey and Alex (Kozy) Kozakavich as the individuals who most influenced her career. Harvey was a member of the Saskatchewan junior golf team from 1977-80 and a member of the international team in 1980. She won the 1980 Saskatchewan Ladies Amateur and that year was ranked as Canada's 10th-best junior golfer. She was a member of the Saskatchewan Ladies Amateur Team from 1981-84. In 1984, she placed eighth in the Canadian Amateur Championship and was ranked as Canada's sixth-leading woman amateur player. At Arizona State University, Harvey was a member of the second place NCAA Championship team in 1984 and the third-place NCAA Championship team in 1985. In 1987, prior to joining the LPGA Tour, placed second in the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional National Championship. In 1988, she finished T34 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 1989 LPGA Tour season.
Harvey played full-time on the LPGA from 1989 to 2006. She played in 385 events making 180 cuts with eight Top-10 finishes. She never won but was runner-up twice. The first time was in the 1997 Sara Lee Classic, where she was in a playoff and was eliminated on the second extra hole with Terry-Jo Meyers winning. She also finished second in the 1997 Welch's Championship, finishing 3 shots back of winner Liselotte Neumann. 1997 was her best year as she won $187,339, which was 46th on the LPGA money list.
After 2009, Harvey moved to Australia and started teaching at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. She teaches all ages of men, women, and children, and started a ladies program called Girls Get Into Golf. She teaches a lot of juniors, having six proteges aged 12-17 that she wants to help make their dreams come true of becoming professional golfers.
Harvey also played for several years on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour. She never won but was runner-up twice, in the 2009 Xstrata Coal Branxton Golf Club Pro-Am and the 2011 St. Georges Basin Country Club Pro-Am.
Harvey considers herself a Canadian that is now living in Australia.

Harvey will be playing in the U.S. Senior Women's Open for the first time.
