This is Jarvis's first time qualifying for the U.S. Senior Open out of four attempts â?¦ did so in Portland where he shot 71 â?¦ he only played three and a half rounds of golf in the nine months prior to the qualifier â?¦ bogeyed the first and last three holes â?¦ played in the 1984 U.S. Open, but missed the cut â?¦ won the 1988 Canadian Club Professional â?¦ won the 1985 Victorian Open on the Canadian Tour â?¦ in 2003, won four Sunbelt Senior Tour events â?¦ lowest competitive 18-hole score is 51, shot in 1988 at the Meadow Gardens Pro-Amateur â?¦ has had four holes-in-one â?¦ has had two double eagles; the first at Teeth of the Day in the Dominion Republic and the second at the second at the Chilliwack Open in British Colombia â?¦ lists his most memorable golf moments as winning the 1985 Victoria Open while his friend Tony caddied and his father watched as well as chipping in for eagle on the last hole of the 2004 Tour School to tie for seventh â?¦ was on the Champion Tour in 2005 â?¦ his father passed away in February, 2006 so he stopped playing to take over the family business, Jiggers Bar, Grill and Liquor Store in Salmon Arm, British Colombia and has not played much golf since then â?¦ says he plays best when helping others with their game â?¦ when not playing or working, he assists with a new golf course project in Victoria, British Colombia and anti-drug programs â?¦ also plays pool, table tennis and poker â?¦ married to wife Diane â?¦ has two children, Matt (22) and Danielle (21)
