Pamela Johnson

Pamela Kerrigan Johnson started playing golf at the age of 17 after a career in figure skating. She credits her parents, family, Bob Toski and Bob Menne as the individuals most influencing her career. Johnson is a LPGA Tour Division Member, having played a full tournament schedule for six years on the LPGA tour. Prior to joining the LPGA Tour, she competed on the Asian Tour for two years, as well as the Futures Tour and Gold Coast Golf Tour. Before earning her tour card, she taught at the PGA National Golf Academy in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. for 10 years. Johnson worked with golf legend Bob Toski for over 13 years, improving as a player and teacher.
In 1999, she finished T2 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2000 season. In 2000, the best finish of her rookie season was T13 at the Safeway LPGA Golf Championship. She returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament and was T2 for the second consecutive year to earn exempt status for the following season. In 2002, she tied her career-low score of 67 in the final round of the LPGA Corning Classic and finished T6. Johnson played in 140 LPGA Tour starts between 2000 and 2008. She made 47 cuts and had two Top-10 finishes. Best finish was T6 in the 2002 LPGA Corning Classic.
Johnson is currently the Ladies Clinic Instructor at both Black Rock Country Club in Hingham, Mass., and Hatherly Country Club in Scituate, Mass. Her teaching has been impacted by working with many different world-renowned teachers and also by her educational background in Exercise Physiology. Her teaching philosophy is based on maximizing the body's efficiency to produce optimum results.
Recently, she has been enjoying raising her 8-year-old daughter, Jillian. The 2019 U.S. Senior Women's Open qualifying round at Bay Club at Mattapoisett in Mattapoisett, Mass. was her first competitive tournament since the 2008 LPGA Corning Classic.

Johnson is playing in her first U.S. Senior Women's Open.
