Peter Thomas Wilson

The father of three played semi-professional football for a team called Deal Town, and is quick to add that they won the FA Vase, the amateur equivalent of the FA Cup, last year. Wilson was merely a spectator in that match, having been forced to give up the game because of a serious groin injury at the age of 26.
"After that, I worked as a builder and helped lay a few bricks in the Channel Tunnel," joked Wilson said with the kind of understatement that could only be matched by Tiger Woods declaring that he played "okay" golf.
Wilson played golf all over but mostly in Africa. His best finish between 1996 and 2022 is T-6th in the 2001 Investec Royal Swazi Open.
Since Wilson turned 50 he plays out of Princes Golf Club on the Kent coast and qualified for the Europe Legends Tour via a second-place finish at Qualifying School in 2017.
In 2017 played in 13 European Legends Tour events and was 36th on the Order of Merit. He had one top-ten, a T-9th at the Paris Legends Championship.
In 2018 Wilson played in 11 European Legends Tour events and was 42nd in the Order of Merit. He had one top-ten and it's his best Legends finish, T-2nd at the Farmfoods European Senior Masters. He was two back of winner Santiago Luna.
In 2019 Wilson played in 11 European Legends Tour events and had two top-ten finishes as he was 34th in the Order of Merit. He was T-4th at the Farmfoods European Senior Masters four shots back of winner Jean-Francois Remesy. Was T-7th at the MCB Tour Championship - Madagascar.
In 2021 he played in nine European Legends Tour events and had three top-ten finishes. He was T-3rd at the Senior Italian Open (two back of winner James Kingston) and at the Irish Legends. Was T-6th at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, four shots back of winner Paul Broadhurst.
