Rhys Enoch

He has led a very complicated life, one which has been a struggle with injuries and the death of his younger brother that he was very close to. Both him and Ben, two years Rhys's junior grew up playing golf in Wales and both dreamed of playing together on the same Walker Cup team. After winning the North Wales Boys in 2005, Rhys went on to collect representative honors at every level including All-American for the 2009/10 collegiate season at East Tennessee State. But in 2009 on the way to the Lytham Trophy, younger brother Ben was killed in a car accident at the age of 19.
At the time Rhys was in college and the plan was for Ben to join him. But with Ben gone, Rhys went back to Tennessee, completed his education getting a degree in sports management and returned to England to play professional golf.
After turning pro he got glandular fever and didn't play golf for three months. When he got better in 2012 he won his first start as a professional at the Jamega Bowood Invitational. He chipped in on the last hole to win that event. After that, he got chronic-fatigue syndrome and suffered for the next 18 months. He wasn't able to practice properly, go to the gym. He had days of feeling absolutely fine to really run down.
He has battled through the adversity and made it to the European Challenge Tour. At the final qualifying round for the 2014 Open Championship at Woburn, he got the last spot on the first hole of a playoff when he chipped in to beat out Tomasz Anderson and Jack Wilson. But he missed the cut.
Since then has struggled to play on the Challenge Tour and in Africa.
2018 Notes: Played in 14 Sunshine Tour events, won the Cape Town Open. On the European Challenge Tour played in 16 events making the cut in ten events with two top-ten finishes, best finish T-6th SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge. Was 78th on the order of merit with euro24,669
2019 Notes: Best finish 2nd at the Zanaco Masters on the Sunshine Tour. He lost to JC Ritchie in a playoff.
