Sam Forgan

Made it through Regional Qualifying and Final Qualifying, both at the Prince's course adjoining Royal St George's.
Went to the 2016 Open at Hoylake as a 16-year-old and watch Tiger win. It was the first tournament he ever went to and it burned a deep spot in Forgan's memory.
Forgan played his collegiate career in Ruston for coach Jeff Parks and the Bulldogs. He was a four-time Academic All-WAC honoree who competed in 36 career tournaments at Louisiana Tech. He is a teaching professional.
His first major comes a month before his wife is due to give birth and he added: "It�s obviously always been a dream and to play The Open in a couple of weeks is going to be amazing. It�s proof that people can do it and why people enter. It's very, very surreal to be honest."
