Sam Stevens

Third-generation professional golfer, as his grandfather, Johnny, made 30 PGA TOUR starts in the 1960s (28 of them came in 1968 and 1969), and his father, Charlie, made two Korn Ferry Tour starts in 1992. Played collegiately at Oklahoma State University for four seasons (2014-18) and was a member of the Cowboys' 2018 NCAA Championships-winning team (did not see action in stroke play or match play, though). Saw action at the 2016 NCAA Championships as a sophomore. Won the 2015 Kansas Amateur Championship and finished 2nd in 2013, 2014, and 2017. He became the third generation of his family to win the Kansas Amateur, as his father, Charlie, won in 2010, and his grandfather, Johnny, won in 1960 and 1961. He turned pro in 2018 after he graduated.
2019 Notes: Played in 15 PGA Tour Latinoamerica tournaments to finish 47th on the Order of Merit. They made nine cuts and posted one top 10. His best finish was T-4th at the JHSF Brazil.
2020 Notes: Played the summer on the All-Pro Tour, winning three times, topping $100,000 in earnings, and capturing the money title. Enjoyed two victories in Arkansas and one in Kansas.
2021 Notes: Played in 7 PGA Tour Latinoamerica tournaments, won the Holcim Colombia Classic and was 2nd at the Club at Weston Hills. He finished 2nd in the order of merit to secure the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour membership.
2022 Notes: Played in 23 Korn Ferry Tour events making 18 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was T-7th at the AdventHealth Championship and T-9th at the Memorial Health Champions. He earned his first PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, solidifying it with a T-28th at the Nationwide Children?s Hospital Championship and a T-12th at the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship. They played in the U.S. Open, finishing T-49th.
2023 Notes: Was T-3rd at the Corales Puntacana Championship, two shots back of winner Matt Wallace. Next week shot a final round 65 to finish 2nd a the Valero Texas Open, a shot back of winner Corey Conners.
