Sanna Nuutinen

Sanna, born in Helsinki, Finland, started playing golf with her parents at seven. Sanna attended Texas Christian University, where she graduated in 2014 with a Degree in Sport Psychology. After a successful amateur career, Sanna decided to turn professional after finishing her degree.
Nuutinen represented Finland at the 2007 and 2008 European Girls' Team Championship before capturing the bronze in 2009. She also played in the 2010 and 2011 European Ladies' Team Championship before securing the bronze in 2013 and the silver in 2014 as team captain. Nuutinen also represented her country at the 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy and captured the bronze together with Krista Bakker and Noora Tamminen at the 2012 Espirito Santo Trophy.
Nuutinen played college golf at Texas Christian University 2010ΓΆβ?¬β??2014. She was Mountain West individual champion in her sophomore year after winning a four-hole playoff.
Nuutinen turned professional in 2014 and returned to Finland to join the LET Access Series mid-season. She played in six tournaments with the best finish of T-5th at the Mineks and Regnum Ladies Classic and the lowest round of 67, five-under-par at the Open Generali de Strasbourg, which included six birdies. She was runner-up at the 2015 Ribeira Sacra Patrimonio de la Humanidad International Ladies Open before winning the 2016 NordicTrack Open de Strasbourg. She finished fifth on 2016 LET Access Series Order of Merit, earning membership in the Ladies European Tour for the 2017 season.
2017 Notes: Played in 8 LET events making three cuts, best finish T-50th at the Lalla Meryem Cup. Played in 9 LET Access Series events making four cuts, best finish T-2nd at the Evli Ladies Finnish Open, two shots back of winner Ursula Wikstrom. She finished 33rd in the Order of Merit
2018 Notes: Played in 7 LET events making 4 cuts. Best finish was T-19th at the Ladies European Thailand Championship. Played in 12 LET Access Series, making 12 cuts with four top-ten finishes. Best finish T-2nd at the Viaplay Ladies Finnish Open. She was in a five-woman playoff, and Julia Engstrom won.
2019 Notes: Played in 14 LET events making 8 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Best finish 2nd at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, which is co-sanctioned with the LETAS. Nuutinen was a shot back of winner Carly Booth. Also was 3rd at the Estrella Damm Ladies Open She was 21st on the Order of Merit. Played in 16 LET Series Access events making 15 cuts. Won the Czech Ladies Challenge by a shot over Caroline Rominger, Julia Engstrom, and Tereza Melecka. Nuutinen was 2nd on the LETAS Order of Merit.
2020 Notes: Played in 13 LET events making 12 cuts. Best finish 3rd at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, five back of winner Emily Kristine Pedersen and T-3rd at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, five shots back of winner Amy Boulden. She was 5th in the Race to Costa Del Sol race. Played in two LET Series Access events winning the Flumserberg Ladies Open and T-6th at the Lavaux Ladies Open. She was 4th on the LETAS order of Merit.
2021 Notes: Played in 21 Ladies European Tour events, making 18 cuts with seven top-ten finishes. Was 4th on the Race to Costa Del Sol and 11th on the money race with earnings of euro164,912. Hot in her first seven starts finishing in the top ten in six of them. T-8th at the Investec SA Women's Open and T-10th at the Ladies Italian Open. Was T-3rd at teh Jabra Ladies Open, two shots back of winner Pia Babnik. Was T-6th at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, four back of winner Atthaya Thitikul. She finished 2nd at the Big Green Egg Open, two shots back of winner Stephanie Kyriacou. Was T-3rd at the ATS London Team Event. She was T-20th at the Toyko Olympics as a member of the Finland women's golf team. Was 4th in the Didriksons Skafto Open, three shots back of winner Pauline Roussin Bouchard. Was T-9th at the Saudi Ladies International. After the season she finished T-22th at LPGA Q Series to earn her LPGA card for the first time.
