Song-Hee Kim

Fully exempt into the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by way of her top-70 finish on the 2011 LPGA money list (33rd). Best finish in the U.S. Women's Open is 12th in 2009.
Started playing golf at the age of 11. Credits her father as the individual most influencing her career. Had a successful amateur career. Won the 2004 Song am Bae Amateur and was a member of the 2004-05 Korean National Golf Teams. In 2005, recorded victories at the Hoshim Amateur, the Green National Junior Championship and the Futures Tour 2006 Qualifying Tournament. Earned low-amateur honors with an eighth-place finish at the 2005 Suntory Ladies Open on the Japan LPGA Tour.
In 2006, turned professional in March and joined the Duramed Futures Tour, where she won five events and recorded six additional top-10 finishes; named Duramed Futures Tour Rookie of the Year; placed first on the Duramed Futures Tour season-ending money list to earn exempt status for the 2007 LPGA season.
In 2007, best finish was a tie for 22nd at the Safeway Classic.
In 2008, recorded career-best runner-up finishes at the Corona Championship and the Samsung World Championship, where she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings.
In 2009, best finish was a tie for third at both the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill and the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic; carded a career-low and tournament-record 62 in the second round of the CN Canadian Women's Open, where she tied for 10th; finished in the top-10 nine additional times.
In 2010, began the season with a remarkable nine consecutive top-10 finishes; recorded a runner-up finish at the LPGA Championship - her career-best finish at a major - and tied for third at the Kraft Nabisco Championship; finished third at the LPGA Hana Bank Championship; tied for third at the HSBC Women's Championship; finished in the top 10 a total of 16 times.
In 2011, finished runner-up at the Avnet LPGA Classic; tied for 10th at the CN Canadian Women's Open.
