Fully exempt into the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by way of her top-five finish on the 2011 Korea LPGA Tour money list (fourth).
In 2008, turned professional.
In 2009, joined Korea LPGA Tour as a rookie, finishing 16th on the tour's money list, runner-up in Rookie of the Year standings and recording four top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Woori Bank Championship.
In 2010, had a breakthrough year, winning the tour's first major of the year - the Korean Women's Open - and later winning the J Golf Series HiMart Ladies Open. Has played in just one LGPA event - the 2010 LPGA Hana Bank Championship - where she tied for 25th. She managed to finish second on the money list behind superstar Bo Mee Lee. She was also third in the league in scoring with a 71.07 average.
In 2011, had another great year, finishing fourth on the KLPGA money list. Won the Doosan Match Play, triumphing over KLPGA star Hyun Hwa Shim 4 and 3. Other highlights among her five top- 10s include a 2nd place finish at the year's second Major, the KLPGA Championship, and two third place finishes. Finished tied for 49th at the U.S. Women's Open and third at the Hana Bank Championship on the LPGA Tour
