Tessa Teachman

Shot 144 and tied for medalist honors at the Frisco, Texas, sectional, to qualify for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open. This is her first U.S. Women's Open.
Graduated from LSU with a degree in mass communication. In her senior year, she had four top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Central District Invitational. Was named a honorable mention All-American to finish her career as a Tiger. Named to the all-Louisiana collegiate golf team in 2012. Part of the team when they finished third at the NCAA Championships; she tied for third individually. In 2011 she was named to the NGCA All-Scholar Team and the SEC Academic Honor Roll. Part of the team that finished third at the NCAA Championships. During her sophomore season, she finished 12th in the league in stroke average and 40th in the national Sagarin Performance rankings. She was named a 2010 Golfweek Honorable Mention All-American, NGCA All-Scholar Team, All-SEC Second Team, All-Louisiana First Team and a SEC Academic Honor Roll member. As a freshman she was named to the 2009 SEC All-Freshman Team, Freshman Academic Honor Roll and NGCA All-Scholar Team. Played in the U.S. Girls' Junior in 2003, '05 and 07. Played in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2005.
Turned professional after she graduated.
