Ty Tryon

Played in the Nationwide Tour's Rex Hospital Open last week in his hometown on a sponsor's exemption.
Prior to that, last PGA Tour start was the 2003 Funai Classic.
At age 17, became the youngest player to earn exempt status on the PGA Tour by going through Q-School in 2001. After the success of Q-School he signed endorsement deals worth a reported $8 million. Played one year on the PGA Tour and was out, wasn't able to get back on the PGA Tour and languished on the likes of the Hooters Tour and the Gateway Tour.
His first professional win came on the Hooters Tour in 2005. Played in the U.S. Amateur in 2000 and 2001.
He's far removed from his earlier days in golf as a prodigy and now sees golf as a way to support his wife, Hanna, and 4-year-old son, Tyson.
Reached the final stage of Q-School in December, but struggled to a tie for 114th, earning conditional status on the Nationwide, which has yet to get him into any tournaments.
Played in his first Nationwide event in 2011, T29th last week at Rex Hospital Open.
