Unho Park

Born in Korea, Park spent much of his youth in Australia where his parents emigrated. He has now settled in Singapore. His father is a taekwondo instructor and Park is also a black belt holder. Underwent lasik eye surgery in 2004. Possesses one of the best swings in Asia and tipped to win on Tour soon.
In 2005, he enjoyed two top-10 finishes at the Bangkok Airways Open and the Carlsberg Masters Vietnam. In 2004, he finished third in the Myanmar Open after contending for the title. Had another top-10 finish in the BMW Asian Open, jointly sanctioned with the European Tour. Jointly led after the first day of the Volvo China Open in 2004 but settled for tied 39th place. Capped his year by earning his card on the Japan Golf Tour. Made an impact late in the 2003 season. Followed up a joint fifth place finish at November's Hero Honda Masters in India with third spot at the Volvo China Open. That was his best finish on Tour and netted him US$30,900. The strong two-week push vaulted him to 17th spot on the Order of Merit with winnings of US$75,132 in 12 events. Having struggled for several seasons since turning professional in 1997, Park lifted his game in 2002. He was 50th on the moneylist with US$43,793. Finished tied seventh in 2002 Shinhan Donghae Open in Korea and tied 10th in the Caltex Singapore Masters, an event jointly sanctioned by the European Tour.
