Valdis Thora Jonsdottir

She first played her first tournament when she was eight with her grandma but didn?t start practicing for real until she was 13. Was seven or eight when she first picked up a club and her parents dragged her out. Played for Texas State University, won the Icelandic Ladies? Strokeplay Championship in 2009 and 2010. Won the Matchplay in 2010 and a college tournament in 2012 individually. Graduated in August of 2013 and turned pro in September.
2014 Notes: On the LET Acces series, Valdis made five cuts including a top 10. Her highest finish came at the Grecotel Amirandes Ladies Open in October where she finished T-9th. Her lowest round in the season also came at the Grecotel Amirandes Ladies Open with a final round 68 (-3), which included two birdies and an eagle. Jonsdottir finished 48th in the LET's order of merit 2014.
2015 Notes: Jonsdottir finished in 23rd place in the 2015 LET's order of merit rankings earning her a spot directly into Lalla Aicha Ladies European Tour School Final Stage. Jonsdottir?s best performance was at the ASGI Ladies Open in Switzerland where she placed in a tie for 7th with rounds of 71, 72 and 70. During the season she had six top 25 finishes. Jonsdottir?s best round in 2015 was a 68, four under par at the Larvik Ladies Open. At the same time she has played in the GolfData Tour, in 2016 played in 11 events
2017 Notes: Has played in three LET events in 2017, T-51st at the Oates Victorian Open, T-50th at the Lalla Meryem Cup and T-53rd at the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open. Also played in mini-tour events.
