Wes Heffernan

Birdied two of the last three holes to shoot 69-70 at the Bremerton, Wash., sectional, qualifying for his second U.S. Open.
Played in the 2001 U.S. Open at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., but missed the cut.
Has four Canadian Tour wins, including the 2006 Montreal Open, 2007 Stockton Classic, 2007 Riviera Nayarit Classic (where he shot a career-low 62) and 2008 Players Cup. 2008 also saw him finish runner-up in three events on the Canadian Tour, including the Vancouver Classic, Mexican PGA Championship and Canadian Tour Championship. Is a four-time winner of the Alberta Open in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011. Won the 2000 Alberta Amateur Championship and finished runner-up in the Canadian Amateur Championship the year before. Played on the Canadian Men's Golf World Cup team in 2007 with former Masters champion Mike Weir as his partner and also played in the event in 2008. Played collegiate golf at the University of Calgary. Is a fan of the NHL's Calgary Flames and still plays hockey every winter.
