William Hadden

Shot 69 and made a 10-foot par putt at the final hole to finish as first alternate at the Brockton, Mass., sectional and later made the field. Played in the 1984 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., but missed the cut. Has also played in the U.S. Amateur and the U.S. Mid-Amateur numerous times. Runner-up at the 1989 U.S. Mid-Amateur, falling to James Taylor in the final, 4 and 3, at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. Stroke-play medalist at the 1991 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. A quarterfinalist at the 1990 U.S. Mid-Amateur. Has represented Vermont in three USGA Men's State Team Championships (2003, 2005, 2009). Won the Northeast Amateur in 1983, the Connecticut Amateur in 1982 and 1994, the Vermont Amateur in 2002 and the New England Amateur in 1988 and 1994. Also won titles at the 1999 Connecticut Mid-Amateur and the Vermont Mid-Amateur in 2004, 2005, and 2007. Is a stockbroker. Enjoys watching his three kids compete in ski racing.
