Harry Higgs

Higgs was born in Camden, New Jersey, and grew up there and in Overland Park, Kansas. Despite living in Dallas, is a big Philadelphia Eagles fan based on his Philadelphia area roots. As a youngster, he loved playing baseball but eventually had to choose between playing that or golf. He chose golf and the rest is history. His dad taught him and his older brother Alex how to play golf but Higgs didn't actually have a lesson until his freshman year of high school.
After playing collegiate golf at SMU, where his best finish was 2nd place, turned professional in 2014. Made it through the first stage of qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour but not the second stage.
2015 Notes: Qualified for the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Tour. He played in 12 events making six cuts, his best finish was T-14th at the Volvo Colombina Classic. He ranked 98th on the Order of Merit, also missed the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour's Digital Ally Open. After that played in 2016 and '17 in mini-tour events.
2018 Notes: Again qualified for the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Tour by finishing T-2nd in the qualifier. He played in 17 events making 11 cuts and finishing in the top ten seven times. He caught fire at the end of the year with four straight top-four finishes. He won the Diners Club Peru Open by two shots over Mario Beltran and David Denlinger. At the time the win moved him to 5th in the Order of Merit. In his next three starts was 3rd at the Neuquen Argentina Classic, T-2nd at the 113 Visa Open Argentina, and T-4th at the Shell Championship. He made a four-footer on his last hole to secure the T-4th finish and with that secured the top spot on the Order of Merit by $64 over Nicolas Echavarria. With that got a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019.
2019 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 22; in money - 18; top-10 finishes - 5; scoring average 69.70 (ranked 7th); money $326,651 (ranked 5th); Korn Ferry Tour finals money $177,778 (ranked 32nd), Priority rank 6; Best finish, Winner Price Cutter Charity, Also was T-2nd at the KC Golf Classic, T-3rd at the TPC Colorado Championship. Secured his PGA Tour card for the 2019-20 season by finishing 5th on the Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season points list.
2020 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 55th on the FedExCup points list. In his sixth career start on the PGA Tour, finished second to Brendon Todd at the Bermuda Championship. Held a share of the 36-hole lead and a two-stroke 54-hole lead. Higgs shot 68 in the final round while Todd shot 62 to beat Higgs by four shots. Was T-9th at the Farmers Insurance Open. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-11th at the Northern Trust and T-56th at the BMW Championship.
2021 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 13 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 66th in the FedExCup standings. Earned his second career runner-up, finishing 2nd at the Safeway Open, two shots behind champion Stewart Cink. Made an albatross, holing his second shot at the par-5 ninth in the second round, marking the first albatross of his career, also made two eagles, tied for the most in the field. In the first major he played, was T-4th at the PGA Championship, four shots back of winner Phil Mickelson. In the FedExCup Playoffs wwas T-16th at the Northern Trust and T-38th at the BMW Championship.
2022 Notes: Was T-9th at the CJ Cup @ Summit.
