Mark Wiebe

Played full-time on the PGA Tour between 1984 and 2002, competing in a total of 499 events. Won two times, was runner-up eight times and finished in third five times. Finished in the top 10 47 times and made 288 cuts. Had career earnings of $4,314,460.
Joined the PGA Tour Champions in 2007 and made history in his first week on Tour, winning in his first start at the SAS Championship. Became the 12th player on Tour to win in his debut and the first since Mark McNulty in the 2004 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. The SAS win matched Bobby Wadkins' mark as the youngest winner ever, claiming the title 10 days after turning 50. Became the first player to win on a sponsor's exemption since Christy O'Connor Jr. in the 1999 State Farm Senior Classic.
In 2010, was the only player to tee it up in all 26 official PGA Tour Champions events.
In 2011, won the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn in a playoff over James Mason. He was also runner-up at the Toshiba Classic and recorded third-place finishes at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and the Dick's Sporting Goods Open. Underwent back surgery on November 7 in Denver, the day after the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The microdiscectomy was done to alleviate a herniated-disc issue that was causing discomfort in his lower right leg.
2012 Notes: Played his best golf in the second half of the season, recording four of his five top-10 finishes after the first week of July. Posted two third-place efforts in back-to-back weeks in October to lock up a spot among the top 30 money winners for the fifth straight season. Was 34th on the money list but posted three consecutive rounds in the 60s to claim a solo third-place finish at the SAS Championship, an event he previously won in his first PGA Tour Champions start in 2007. As the defending champion at the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn, birdied the final hole to finish solo third. Performance in Hickory earned him a six-figure check that sealed a spot among the top 30, and he went on to finish 23rd on the money list.
2013 Notes: Spent the first part of the season recovering from elbow and lower-back issues and had not registered a top-10 performance all season prior to the Senior Open Championship. There, he claimed the first of two titles on the year and it was the biggest of his career. Came from four shots back on Sunday at Royal Birkdale with a final-round 66 and then outlasted Bernhard Langer in a five-hole playoff. Got into the playoff when Langer double-bogeyed the 18th hole. Won the playoff Monday morning with a par when darkness forced the suspension of play Sunday night after both players halved two holes with pars. After both made a par and a bogey on the third and fourth extra holes, Wiebe two-putted from 35 feet for his par on the fifth while Langer chipped 12 feet past the hole and then missed his par effort. Seven events later, defeated Corey Pavin in a playoff for the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship. Holed a 20-foot par putt on the second extra hole and then watched Pavin miss his 10-foot par attempt moments later. Went on to finish 22nd on the money list in his 25 starts.
2014 Notes: Suffered through an injury-plagued season as he still has pain from his 2011 back surgery. So he played in just 18 events without a top-25 finish on his record and dropped from 22nd to Pain was so bad at the Senior Open Championship that he only played four events the rest of the year and finished 98th on the final money list. Teamed with Loren Roberts to finish T-28th in the Champions Division at the Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf, his best finish on the year.
2015 Notes: Teamed with Loren Roberts to finish T-3rd at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf in April. Was T-21st in the season's first event at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. Was 69th on the money list and 61st in the Schwab rankings.
2016 Notes: Played in 15 events, best finish T-23rd in the Bass Pro Shops Legends teamed with Loren Roberts. Was 110th on both the money list and Schwab Rankings.
2017 Notes: 46th in the season opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.
