Jediah Morgan

Jed was born in Brisbane in 1999 and started playing golf at age 4 while growing up on the family golf course in Hattonvale, which was originally owned by his grandparents. The family business became Jed's passion and he enrolled at the Queensland Golf School of Excellence at Kelvin Grove State College in 2014 and was soon invited to join the Queensland Academy of Sport.
In 2019, Jed was chosen to captain Queensland and was named Queensland Amateur of the Year. He also placed second at the South Australian Amateur tournament and at the Men's Avondale Medal that year. Further success followed in 2021 when he became the Australian Men's Amateur Champion and was the leading amateur at the Victorian Open.
Morgan turned professional in October 2021. He finished 2nd in the inaugural Sandbelt Invitational in December 2021, finishing six shots behind Brady Watt.
In January 2022, Morgan won the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, in just his fourth start as a professional, and ranked 1,522 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He won by a record eleven shots ahead of Andrew Dodt and also broke the aggregate scoring record with a total of 262. At age 22 he became the youngest winner in the tournament's history. With this win, it was good enough to see Morgan claim the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit for the 2021-22 season in May, earning him a place at St Andrews for the Open Championship as well as June's U.S. Open (he missed the cut).
Morgan joined LIV Golf and in the first event in London Morgan finished T-30th with rounds of 73-70-76 earning $154,000.
