Katherine Kirk

Kirk started playing golf at the age of 12. Credits her parents Frank and Pauline, and Chris and Laurie Gibbs as the individuals most influencing her career. In October 2007, traveled to Rwanda on a mission trip with Betsy King and Golf Fore Africa.
Finished 10th in the 1999 Junior World Golf Championship. In 2002, was a member of the winning Australian team at the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she was an All-American in 2002 and was the NCAA Player of the Year in 2003. She also recorded the lowest 18-hole score in school history and collected eight collegiate wins during her career. Hull graduated from college in 2003 with a degree in Sports Administration. She was the recipient of the 2003 Dinah Shore Award.
In 2003, turned professional in June and won two Futures Tour events: the Aurora Health Care Futures Charity Golf Classic, her first event as a professional, and the Lima Memorial Hospital Foundation Futures Classic. She also tied for 42nd at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2004 LPGA season.
In 2004, best finish was sixth at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic, also tied for seventh at the Longs Drugs Challenge.
In 2005, recorded a career-best finish at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open, where she finished second. Won the Titanium ALPG Players Championship on the ALPG Tour.
In 2006, won two events on the ALPG Tour. Returned to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she T-7th to earn exempt status for the 2007 LPGA season.
In 2007, her best finish was a T-9th at the SemGroup Championship.
In 2008, became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the CN Canadian Women's Open, where she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings. Recorded eight additional top-10 finishes, including a tie for fourth at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational by Banamex and Corona Light, where she crossed the $1 million mark in season earnings. Carded a career-low 64 in the final round of the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill and finished 6th.
In 2009, her best finish was runner-up at the HSBC Women's Champions. Tied for eighth at both the Kraft Nabisco Championship and the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge. Recorded her fourth international victory at the ANZ Ladies Masters on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour.
In 2010, recorded her second LPGA victory at the Navistar LPGA Classic and finished 2nd at the Ricoh Women's British Open, one shot behind Yani Tseng. T-4th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic and T-10th at the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge.
In 2011, her best finish was a T-6th at the Avent LPGA Classic. Crossed the $3 million mark in career earnings at Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
In 2012, played in 26 events, 21 cuts made, $376,192 (37th). She had 3 top-10 finishes including a season-best runner-up finish at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. She was known as Katherine Hull until her marriage to Tom Kirk in 2012.
2013 Notes: Played in 13 LPGA events, and made the cut seven times, her best finish being a T-8th at the ISPS Handa Australian Women's Open.
2014 Notes: She was 60th on the money list and 64th in CME points with 21 cuts made in 26 starts. She had two top-10s, T-4th at the Marathon Classic and T-9th at the LOTTE Championship.
2015 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA events making 9 cuts. Her best finish so far on the LPGA Tour was T-16th at the Handa Women's Australian Open. She was 108th on the money list with $55,312. Kirk was T-2nd in the Ladies European Tour's RACV Ladies Masters in her home country of Australia.
2016 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA events making 9 cuts. Her best finish was T-21st in the Marathon Classic. She was 110th on the money list with $70,621 and 105th in the CME points.
2017 Notes: She played in 24 LPGA events making 17 cuts. She was the first-round leader at the Australian Women's Open and finished T-52nd in the tournament. Everything fell together at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic she was able to hold on for a one-shot victory, her third on the LPGA and first since 2010. With the victory, she got a last-minute invitation to play in the U.S. Women's Open. Also played well at the Evian Championship finishing T-3rd, 1 shot out of the playoff won by Anna Nordqvist. For the year was 29th on the money list.
2018 Notes: Played in 27 LPGA Tour events making 20 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 4th a the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open 5 shots back of winner Jin Young Ko. Was T-10th at the Evian Championship. Was 64th on the money list with $310,212 and was 48th in the Race to CME. She was a member of Australia's team in the UL International Crown and was 2-1-0 in the matches.
2019 Notes: Played in 27 LPGA Tour events making 18 cuts with one top-ten finish. She was 57th on the money list with $350,857 in earning, finished 58th on the CME rankings. Best finish, T-5th, three shots back of winner Celine Boutier at the ISPS Handa Vic Open.
2020 Notes: Played in 15 LPGA Tour events making 11 cuts with four top-ten finsihes. Was 39th on the money list with $295,584 in earnings, was 43rd on the CME points list. Was T-7th in both the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and ANA Inspiration. Was T-10th at the ShopRite Classic and was T-6th at the LPGA Drive On Championship Reynolds Lake Oconee five shots back of winner Ally Ewing.
2021 Notes: Best finish, T-25th at the Pure Silk Championship.
Kirk is active with the group Golf Fore Africa, which was founded by Betsy King and raises money for children orphaned by AIDS. In December 2014, she traveled to Zambia to help dedicate three wells that were funded by Golf Fore Africa.
