Terry Gale

This talented all-round sportsman extended his record of consecutive winning years on the European Seniors Tour to four with victory at the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open in Switzerland. Enjoyed six top tens on his way to 12th place on the 2005 Order of Merit. Became only the sixth player to win three times in a single season during 2003 and those successes, coupled with seven other top ten finishes, saw him end the season in third place on the Order of Merit, his best placing since turning 50 in 1996. Prior to reaching Seniors status, he won 17 titles, three as an amateur on the Australasian Tour and eight times in the Far East. He was selected as the second Chairman of the PGA Tour of Australasia, overseeing the Tour during a time of massive change. Inducted as a Life Member of his home Tour in 1997, following such notables as Ted Ball, Bill Dunk, Kel Nagle, Greg Norman and Peter Thomson. An excellent all-round sportsman, he represented Western Australia at cricket. He also competes on the Japanese Seniors Tour. . . Enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning the 1974 Australian Championship, and four Western Australian Amateur (1969, '72, '74, '75) and Western Australia Open (1972, '75, '80, '90) Open titles. . . Turned professional at age 30. . . Has won more than 20 titles through Australasia, Asia and Europe.
